Lisa Pearson is a visual artist from Smiths Creek, NB. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in 2003 from Mount Allison University. In addition to creating her own work and teaching Visual Arts at Belleisle High school Lisa is also involved with community art projects through the Sussex Artists’ Co-op.
In 2010 she had the opportunity to do some exploring and backpacking in Iceland, where she was struck by the unearthly beauty and unnerving scale of the land. This led to her first landscape based body of work. When not creating or teaching art, Lisa enjoys hiking and running, having survived both the Fundy Footpath and the Marathon by the Sea.
Lisa will be having an upcoming Solo Show, Don’t Ruin this for Me, at the Sussex Artists’ Co-op Gallery in April. She is currently working on a Series of small and joyfully created collage/paintings inspired by found text.
