Around 30 yrs ago we started to make some jewelry in our spare time in Holland.Five years ago the two of us started again to make some jewelry in our spare time but this time we sold the pieces. It became more than a hobby.
In 2008 Joe decided to semi- retire. Both of us took some weekend classes with instructors from the NB College of Craft & Design in Fredericton, Trudy Gallagher (Bejewel) and Erica Sullivan. Shortly after, Joe decided to take a full course in jewelry & metal art with Brigitte Clavette. Gudi concentrates on unique necklaces and makes only one-of-a-kind pieces, preferably asymmetrical. In the fall 2009 we opened a studio in our home.

Our business name TerraBijou means Earth(y) jewelry. We use local pebbles and rocks from the coast of Fundy, leather, and hemp, but also shells, wood and seeds from different parts of the world such as Fiji, Arizona, New Zealand and Thailand. Our biggest hobby is traveling around the planet. We also use elements from the earth like sterling silver, copper, brass and some gold.
