THEN AND NOW
Work by Sue Hooper
The opening show at Hooper Studios Gallery coincides with the Kings County Studio Show so we have decided to fill the gallery with our work, both recent and older. It should give you a look at how and perhaps why an artist’s paintings change over time, how one group of work which explores an idea or emotion can inspire another series, which in turn inspires another.

mini bio:
Sue Hooper has a range of strongly coloured emotional work mostly acrylic paintings on paper and canvas. Her work is evocative of her life, filled with a great love and growing understanding of the place all of us play in this world. At present she manages Hooper Studios, teaches art both on and off site, and works in her studio. She and Fred Harrison, a nationally recognized mural artist, and the children, completed a large exterior mural depicting the history of the club. Sue, Kathy and 16 local artists have their final showing of Stimularae at Memorial Hall, UNB, Fredericton.
Directions to Hooper Studios: Take the Hampton main exit off the highway, down the hill, turn right past the RCMP station, follow Main Street through Hampton, turn left just past the Irving, cross the tracks, past the middle school, turn left on to Kennebecasis River Road at the flashing caution light, (top of the hill by the legion) drive a few minutes and see # 177 on the left side…long winding driveway up the hill to an older, yellow house.
The Workshop and Gallery are at the back of the house and there is limited parking behind the studio. There is a sign at the foot of the driveway.
We have 1 friendly dog, Molly on the premises. Please let us know ahead of time if you have any concerns.
